Classroom Snack Update- Important

Our district has shared with us details from the Healthy Hunger-Free Act of 2010.  A district committee will soon be providing us with direction with regards to this policy.  Our district has asked us not to serve snacks during breakfast and lunch.  Our lower campus recently communicated that snacks brought to schools by families must be served during recess.  The upper campus wants to maintain consistency and follow this practice as well.  Of course, please keep in mind that we have students with food allergies and healthy snacks are always best. Let me know if you have any questions.

Infosnap

See below from an email dated August 26th:

Lake Carolina Upper Families--
Richland School District Two sent out an email to parents of all returning students about the new Infosnap system in early August. This system updates and collects the information about each student enrolled in schools and this process replaces the paper forms sent home at the beginning of each school year. Each child has his or her own ‘snap code,’ so if you have multiple children in the district you should have received multiple e-mails.

Additionally, the Infosnap system is now the only way to sign the Responsible Use Procedures or RUPThis form is required every year and is directly connected to your child’s access to any technology at the school. Only students with an electronically signed/accepted RUP on file will be able to be issued a Chromebook as part of the 1TWO1 computing program. NOTE: New students that were enrolled this school year using the Infosnap system have the RUP completed as part of their registration.

If you have checked for an email from the district and don’t find one, or received one for only some of your children but not others, you will need to bring a picture ID to campus to receive your missing snap code from the front office staff.

You can find more information about 1TWO1 computing by clicking the link from our school website--https://www.richland2.org/lceu/Pages/1TWO1Computing.aspx
Thank you for your help with this matter.
