Proud to Share
I don't usually do many personal connections, but I had to share one of my proudest personal moments this past week. My boyfriend made The State Newspaper's 20 Under 40. He has visited our classroom a couple of times and my students were excited to see him in the paper for such an accomplishment, and so was I! Check out the link above.
Neat Technology Tool!
Check out Chloe's Voice Thread about the 3 types of soil. We have been working on developing our usage with Voice Thread to tell what we know about any given subject.

Feel the Love
Good Evening Parents,
I hope that you enjoyed your Valentine's Day weekend. On Thursday, we talked about taking the time to show love to others. We did a random act of kindness by writing appreciation cards to staff in our school that show us love each and every day. This included the cafeteria staff, custodians, and even the nurse. I am looking forward to jumping back in when we return to school. This is the time of year that we are focusing on buckling down to prepare ourselves for testing. Take a look at what is coming up:
Curriculum
Math- Module 5- Fractions on a Number Line
ELA- The Strongest One, Prefixes and Suffixes
Science- Slow Changes to the Earth
Social Studies- Chapter 7- Antebellum Times
Tests
2/20- The Strongest One, The Strongest One Spelling Test
Important Dates
2/20- Six Flags Reading Log Due, Interims issued
2/24- Boxes of Love items due
